Three weeks ago, the brash coach said his team was out of the playoffs. Now, after wins against a Peyton Manning less Indianapolis team and a Cincinnati squad that mailed it in last Sunday, Ryan has flip flopped and thinks his team is a Super Bowl contender. He may be right, at least on defense. The Jets are ranked first in scoring (14.8 ppg), against the pass (153.7 ypg) and overall (252.3 ypg), and pitched a bagel against the Bengals last week. The offense is carried by RB Thomas Jones, who has racked up 1,402 yards and 14 scores, but is still suspect with erratic rookie QB Mark Sanchez's 20 interceptions and 63.0 QB rating, which could hurt this team if it falls behind.

BENGALS: Even when the starters were in, the Bengals were roughed up by the Jets last week. Not exactly the way you want to go in to sudden death against the same team. The good news is that Cincy is at home this time and has only lost once this season in the comfortable confines of Paul Brown Stadium. The Bengals' offense, which has put up less than 20 points in three of the last four games, will be at full strength with WR Chad Ochocinco shaking off a bruised knee. RB Cedric Benson, who didn't play a week ago, needs to return to the form that netted him 1,200-plus yards this season to attack the Jets'D at its most vulnerable point and keep the pass rush off QB Carson Palmer.

Ryan's bellowing aside, there is actually another team in this game. The Bengals are a resilient bunch and that top 10 defense didn't like getting pushed around in New York. Marvin Lewis' team has plenty left in the tank and silences the Jets and their boisterous coach. Cincinnati (-2.5) 20, New York Jets 10.
